The Dell 27 Gaming Monitor nails all the core features of what I would consider to be today’s defacto gaming monitor: a 27-inch canvas, 1440p resolution, a variable refresh rate for both AMD and NVIDIA users, vivid IPS pixels and HDR400 support.

The Dell S2721DGF is a great monitor for most uses. It has wide viewing angles, excellent ergonomics, and great reflection handling, making it a very good choice for office use or multimedia. Motion looks great thanks to the excellent response time, and it has low input lag, making it a great choice for gaming as well. Unfortunately, although it supports HDR, this doesn't add much due to the low peak brightness and low contrast.
Dell S2721DGF is an excellent office monitor. The 27″ 1440p screen is ideal for multitasking, and has wide viewing angles, great if you often share your screen with someone else. It has great reflection management and high peak brightness in SDR, so glare shouldn’t be a problem in a bright room. Unfortunately, it has a low contrast ratio and poor black uniformity, so it’s not ideal if you’re in a dark room.
The Dell S2721DGF is an excellent purchase if you want a fast QHD IPS panel with eye-popping color. Its gamut is one of the widest we’ve seen that doesn’t have a massive accuracy penalty due to an effective tune from the factory. It is FreeSync/G-Sync compatibility and the very good pixel response time is also a huge plus for gamers.
