Sanjrani Forms Committee Over Swati’s Alleged Objectionable Video
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Speaker Sadiq Sanjrani on Sunday formed a 14-member committee to investigate an alleged objectionable video featuring Pakistan’s leader Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Senator Azam Khan Swati and his family.
According to the notification, only one PTI member, Senator Mohsin Aziz, was included in the 14-member committee.
The rest of the committee includes Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar (PMLN), Senator Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani (PPP), Senator Molana Abdul Gafoor Haideri (JEW), Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar (BAP), Senator Faisal Sabzwari (MQM) , Senator Tahir Bizenjo (NP), Senator Safeeq Tareen (PKMAP), Senator Mushtaq Ahmed (JI), Senator Muhammad Qasim (BNP), Senator Muzaffar Hussian Shah (PMLF), Senator Hidayatullah Khan (ANP), Senator Kamil Aga (PMLQ) and Senator Dilawar Khan (Independent).
Earlier Saturday at a press conference, Senator Azam Swati broke down in tears in front of the media, saying his wife had received a video featuring him and her being a stranger, about which he could not give further details. because “the” girls of my country are listening.”
He added that his wife called him from Islamabad around 9 p.m. last night. She continued to scream and cry, he said, adding that he then had to ask his daughter to speak to his wife and inquire about the matter.
At her insistence, he continued, and his wife revealed that someone had sent her a video of him from an unknown number. “Because the daughters and granddaughters of my country are listening, I cannot say more.”
The senator went on to say that his daughter, while crying, revealed to him that the video also featured his wife.
Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday labeled the allegedly objectionable video featuring Pakistani leader Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Senator Azam Swati and his wife as “fake”.

In a press release, the FIA said that “the obscene viral video of Senator Azam Swati has been forensically analyzed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and found to be completely false.” performed on the viral video in accordance with the international standard of forensic analysis.”
“Initial forensic analysis revealed that the video had been edited and that different video clips had been joined with degraded faces. Further analysis revealed that the faces had been swapped in the images using Photoshop .” adds the press release.”
The FIA added that Senator Azam Swati’s press conference, in which he showed that his concerns warranted a proper investigation and asked him to lodge a proper complaint with the agency and share his concerns about the reason for believe it authentic.
The presser reiterated that the obscene viral video of Azam Swati is fake, edited with false deep tools to create misunderstanding and defame “the Honorable Senator”.
